My client based in Launceston are seeking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Operative to work in this unique operation.
The role will entail the whole operation of processing Sheep fleeces into wool.
The process will involve all aspects- including the sorting, drying and blending the pressed fleeces into different types of wool. The role is also quite physical as some of the role will include the lifting of 25kg bags along with machine working.
The role is temporary, BUT may lead to a perm role after 12 weeks. Not one day is the same and there is so much variance in the role.
Reporting to the Front End Supervisor, the main purpose of this job is to be responsible for general front end cleaning and housekeeping, basic operational tasks and material handling. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a production team (FMCG “Fast moving consumer goods” or similar), an ability to investigate, understand and resolve issues quickly and efficiently, an eagerness to learn and a high attention to detail.
The shifts are 7am-4pm ( with your breaks paid for) along with no weekends, so it’s Monday to Friday. You will need also transport to get to this location near Launceston.
