Hours: Various full and part-time contracts available – days/waking nights/casual roles
Havencare Homes and Support Limited is a forward-thinking charity that supports people with learning disabilities and autism, and we have opportunities for enthusiastic, resourceful, and forward-thinking people to join Havencare as Support Workers.
At Havencare we don’t think that experience is everything, first and foremost we are looking for outstanding people with outstanding values that align with our values of Transparency, Quality and Engagement.
We have full and part-time opportunities based at St Clare where you will be part of an exciting, supported lifestyles project. St Clare’s is a service that enables 8 individuals, living in their own flats, to receive 1:1 support at different times of the day and have access to our shared support hub. The communal hub is a unique dimension to supported lifestyles where staff are on hand as a point of contact for support when needed.
In this role you will be working as part of a wider team, role modelling, coaching and mentoring young adults in how to maintain their tenancy and homes and support with meaningful outcomes to promote that they are all reaching their full potential and aspirations. No two days are the same, today you may be checking bank balances, supporting with laundry, and filling out college enrolment forms; tomorrow you might be playing basketball, swimming at the local beach, or experiencing the rides at Flambards and yesterday you may have been in the yard having a water fight.
Our teams work a combination of 1:1 hours to meet the needs of each individual in line with their needs and preferences.
If you got what it takes to get to know 8 fabulous people and support ways to enrich their lives, then this is the role for you!
In return we will provide
- Quality training to ensure you have all the skills you require to succeed
- Continual training and development opportunities to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge
- Free 24/7 confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support your health and wellbeing
- Financial incentive for our Refer a Friend Scheme
