We currently have some opportunities for enthusiastic, kind and dedicated people to join our team as support workers.
This is home to 6/7 individuals living in their own flats with access to a support hub.
We have positions to work on a 1:1 level within the provision and or to be part of the core support within their hub.
Rate of Pay: £9.00 per hour between 7am and 10pm / £10.00 per hour between 10pm and 7am
Opportunity A; I am a young lady of 21 with PMLD. To support me you will need to enjoy singing, hugging and making me laugh. Due to my condition I need you to ensure I am safe, I have a balanced diet, my home is clean and then to have lots of fun with me. I will need you to identify any health appointments I may need. I would like females to join my team to promote my dignity with personal care.
Essential: I would like you to be a driver so that you can take me out in my car.
Current rota availability...
Position 1; 24 hours per week for all of my 1:1 support
Week One: Tuesday 5pm-10pm / Friday 5pm-10pm
Week Two: Tuesday: 5pm-10pm / Friday 5pm-10pm / Saturday 8am-10pm / Sunday 8am-10pm
Position 2; 10 hours per week (these hours could be added to other positions). This is for me to have a second person to support with activities such as swimming, longer trips out and helping to identify other opportunities with me. There is flexibility / negotiation with these hours for the right candidate
Week One: Saturday 10am-3pm / Sunday 10am-3pm
Week Two: Saturday 10am-3pm / Sunday 10am-3pm
Opportunity B: I am a gentleman of 47 with early on set dementia. I am set in my ways but love to have a giggle. You will need to promote all aspects of daily life, keeping me safe, ensuring a balanced diet and that you are happy to spend periods of time quiet while I enjoy the TV and looking through my magazines. An interest in horse racing and boy bands would be good.
Essential: I would like you to be a driver to drive my car and promote my community presence.

Position 1; 29 hours per week
Week One: Thursday 3pm-10pm / Saturday 7am-10pm / Sunday 7am-10pm
Week Two: Tuesday 3pm-10pm / Thursday 3pm-10pm / Friday 3pm-10pm
Opportunity C: to work as part of the core support team you will be involved with everyone that lives at this provision. You will provide 1:1 support at times, and oversee the continuity of needs and wishes for many at other times. This position can be fast paced, you will be asked to promote hub based activities at times, being able to direct support and bring people together. Great role for someone with energy and a dynamic approach.
Desirable: You will be a driver with access to your own vehicle

Week One: Monday 5pm-10pm / Saturday 7am-10pm / Sunday 2pm-9pm
Week Two: Monday 5pm-10pm / Friday 5pm-10pm / Saturday 9am-4pm

Overview…
In general, we are looking for people that will bring great energy, creativity and innovative ideas to supporting individuals and getting the most out of this exciting project. People who are keen to promote Assistive Living Technology.
You will be resilient, have a confident personality and be able to work on different levels to suit varying personalities and needs.
You will also need to be patient and good humoured.
Preferably you will have experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and be able to work in a way that is truly person centred - aiming to make a real difference to the individual’s lives by promoting independence and enhancing their perception of quality of life.
Experience preferred but not essential as a range of training is provided – we promote a values-based recruitment drive.
We would also be interested in hearing from people who would like the idea of joining the team on a casual basis (must have 6 months paid experience).
Cover hours are available during the week and additional hours during out of term time.
