We currently have an opportunity for you to be part of our supported living projects working in Redruth and Pool supporting individuals living in their own homes on both a 1:1 basis and as part of a core team providing background support.
We are looking for someone who will bring great energy, creativity, and innovative ideas to supporting individuals and getting the most out of this exciting project. Somebody who is keen to promote Assistive Living Technology would be an advantage.
You will be responsible for delivering 14 hours of 1:1 support per week to a wonderful Lady to enable and support her to develop skills to live a more independent life. You will be resilient, flexible have a strong personality and need to be patient and good humored.
You will also be responsible for enabling 16 individuals living in their own flats with access to a support hub.

In this role, you will be supporting with annual leave cover for a young gentleman living in his own home in the Pool area. You will need to have an enabling and encouraging approach to support, an added interest in trucks and trains would be a bonus.
You will work part of your contracted hours a set rolling rota and also work flexibly to cover 1:1 hours and cover annual leave. For this reason, flexibility is essential for this role. This will be 25 hours per week but this could be increased for the right candidate.
Preferably you will have experience supporting individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities and be able to work in a way that is truly person-centred - aiming to make a real difference to the individual’s lives by promoting independence and enhancing their perception of quality of life.
As part of the recruitment process the gentleman will play an active role in his recruitment and you will meet with him as part of the interview process where you can get to know each other to ensure goodness of fit.
