We currently have an opportunity for you to be part of our supported living projects working in Redruth and Pool supporting individuals living in their own homes on both a 1:1 basis and as part of a core team providing background support.

We are looking for someone who will bring great energy, creativity, and innovative ideas to supporting individuals and getting the most out of this exciting project. Somebody who is keen to promote Assistive Living Technology would be an advantage.

In this role, you will be supporting a young gentleman living in his own home in the Pool area. You will need to have an enabling and encouraging approach to support, an added interest in trucks and trains would be a bonus.

You will also be responsible for enabling 16 individuals living in their own flats with access to a support hub.
You will be resilient, have a strong personality and be able to work on different levels to suit varying personalities and needs. You will also need to be patient and good humored.

This role is a cover hours position, meaning your hours will be found for you on a month-to-month basis across both the Pool and Redruth Services covering both day and waking night shifts. For this reason, you will need to be able to work flexibly. This will be 20 hours per week, but this could be increased for the right candidate.

Preferably you will have experience supporting individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities and be able to work in a way that is truly person-centred - aiming to make a real difference to the individual’s lives by promoting independence and enhancing their perception of quality of life.

As part of the recruitment process the gentleman will play an active role in his recruitment and you will meet with him as part of the interview process where you can get to know each other to ensure goodness of fit.
