Job Description


Responsible for maintaining a supply chain that is robust, ethical and efficient to enable us to meet production targets in line with plans. Ensuring that quality materials are supplied on time at the lowest cost, proactively responsible for continual improvement & leading in the development of a sustainable and forward-thinking supply chain. Supporting the design teams in development of new and existing products through effective supply and procurement.


Management responsibilities:
, Responsible for Supply Chain Assistant
, Responsible for ensuring direct reports and team work to the operational plan for achieving overall strategic objectives
, Role modelling Ice values in management style, ensuring communication and planning is excellent, open and fit for purpose
, Handover and cover for other managers when absent
, Step into Senior Manager role as required and in Managers absence
Peer group liaison/cross team liaison:
, Work closely with other managers to develop, deliver and report on strategic plan
, Part of decision making group along with peers and managers of the business
, Ensure own teams achievement against plan is shared across the business and any impacts are reported as appropriate
, Ensure that Management communication and decisions are cascaded appropriately through the organisation
, Use Asana effectively and promoting use of Asana within own team
Reporting and communication:
, Monthly management meetings
, Monthly team meetings to update on operational progress towards strategic plan
, Responsible for building and maintaining effective and efficient Supply Chain Management including:
, supplier relationships and appraisals,
, ethical supplier relationships and development,
, cost effective procurement and
, ability for us to build right product at the right time and at the right cost
, Measure and monitor supplier performance across the contract and provide detailed reporting and analysis on trends together with improvement plans
, Undertake supplier on boarding programmes
, To inform the Head of Operations of any supplier under performance which requires Senior escalation
, Utilise performance measurement metrics in the generation of supplier scorecards and client dashboards.
, Deliver comprehensive MI reporting information to the stakeholders
, Be credible in front of suppliers and clients when discussing contracts, relationships, tools and techniques used to monitor and measure supplier performance.
, Establish appropriate action plans to manage out under performing suppliers.
, Work collaboratively with internal departments to maintain positive and open relationships
, In collaboration Head of Departments, jointly own the implementation of all risk controls and measures in respect of the Supplier Management Policy
, To ensure all existing and new suppliers are assessed against a set of agreed risk criteria: ethical, people and contractual
, Adhered to throughout all production processes. Responsible for H&S and QA in your department
Essential experience/skills/education

, Relevant experience of production planning, procurement systems & warehousing/logistics
, High level of general computer literacy
, Experienced and commercially astute with the ability to secure the best possible agreement whilst protecting the commercial integrity of the business
, Able to lead and manage others
, Excellent communicator, at all levels, fit for purpose with teams and individuals, & ability to form internal and external relationships
