Supporting the Leach Pottery in the day-to-day communications to reach our audiences and particularly work around our capital development project. You will help us communicate with key stakeholders including: funders, the local community, the ceramics community and local press on our plans.


Job Description



Communications


  • Communicating with colleagues and stakeholders about our capital project and support the promotion of our day-to-day work

  • Social media around capital project and day-to-day support

  • Answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations

  • Updating information on the website around the development project and supporting colleagues where possible

  • Writing content for newsletters, articles and the website

  • Coordinating photo opportunities


Fundraising


  • Support the Director in crafting text for funding bids based on specific criteria and managing the key funder stakeholders

  • Managing events for potential funders if/when required


Community Engagement


  • Support community engagement including the Leach Pottery Development Forum


PR (small amount)


  • Writing and distributing press releases

  • Provide regular listings to the media and listings platforms if time allows


Plus any other duty as required by the line manager commensurate/appropriate with the role.



Job Requirements



You will need to have:


  • The ability to devise and implement marketing strategies using the full marketing mix

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills

  • Experience of developing social media

  • Excellent knowledge of design, artwork and print production

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Proven delivery of innovative and successful marketing campaigns, with demonstrable results in achieving sales targets and developing new audiences

  • Excellent proofing skills with an eye for strong imagery

  • Attention to detail and consistency

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask

  • Creativity, imagination and initiative

  • Good teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills


Desirable to have:


  • Three years working in an arts, heritage or leisure organisation

  • Knowledge of contemporary ceramics or craft scene
