Berry Recruitment is currently seeking a Second Chef for a busy café on the outskirts of Redruth.

We’re looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, passion for creating and delivering good quality meals that celebrate local and seasonal produce is a must.

You will be required to provide leadership for the Pantry team in the Head Chef’s absence and to ensure high standards or safety, hygiene and customer service are maintained. Ideal candidate will need to be trained to 706/1, 706/2 or NVQ level 2, hold a level 2 food hygiene certificate and have experience working in a busy kitchen, preparing meals to order.


First and foremost, you will be responsible for ensuring all meals are prepared and presented to the highest standards. We want our customers and visitors to be talking about their great day out and the fantastic experience they had in our Pantry.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to develop menu ideas based on customer’s feedback, our brand proposition and within the expectations of the business.

You will be expected to contribute to our growing & reputation with locals and regulars as a great place to visit and eat.

This is a full time, permanent position.
