This is a unique opportunity to work at a world-famous site that is one of the most visited in Cornwall - Tintagel Castle. The Retail Manager will be a positive role model exceeding targets and ensuring the team provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and generate the revenue needed to support this exceptional site.
You will proactively manage all aspects of the retail operation from sales analysis and ordering through to delivery processing and merchandising. Supported by the territory Retail Support Manager, you will increase the financial contribution to the charity generated through retail activities on-site, including the creation, development and implementation of new ideas and opportunities in line with the retail strategy.
You will be responsible for delivering the retail strategy at a site level and through training and coaching of the site team you will ensure the highest standards of merchandising, presentation and customer service are delivered.
You will have retail management experience in either the heritage sector or high street with a proven track record of delivering commercial targets and of managing stock targets.
You will have experience of delivering training and motivating teams to manage performance to a high standard. You will be able to demonstrate achieving consistently high levels of customer service. You will know how to analyse sales and spot opportunities and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
