An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to work on nights. The home is divided into a General Nursing Unit and a specialist Dementia Care facility, with a Registered Manager and Clinical Lead heading each unit.

Job Description
Working in a purpose-built environment we aim to motivate and support our staff
Deliver clinical excellence through direct nursing care as part of a professional well-established team.
Organise, provide and be accountable for nursing care of residents within the Nursing Home, according to agreed policies.
Good effective communication with family’s friends and visiting professionals.
Prioritise workload, delegate work load to Senior Care Assistants
Carry out nursing care to the highest quality standard according to the homes policies and procedures
To order administer and record medications to the legal standard.
Maintain health and safety within the home reporting any concerns to the Management including maintenance of equipment
Maintain the dignity respect and individuality of the residents
Maintain Safeguarding Policy
Giving and receiving reports at the beginning and end of a shift.
Promote a positive working atmosphere. Assist the Registered Managers to implement any changes that need to be made to the working routine/environment.
Be familiar with the fundamental standards required from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and adhere to the principles.
Attend meetings/training as required during day time hours

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
RN qualification with up to date NMC Registration
Ability to get to and from your shift
Candidates must be passionate about caring and willing to develop their skills further
Experience with complex care including PEG feeding/Medication would be beneficial, but training can be provided.
Friendly and supportive toward vulnerable adults and their families whilst maintaining a professional approach.
You must have excellent communications skills
Ability to be patient and keep calm under pressure
An understanding of the responsibility and reliability required for this role
