My client on the outskirts of Truro are looking for a Chef to a private household and guests of a beautiful old Manor House.
This is a hands-on role, which will require creative menu planning and day to day cooking for the family, producing excellent quality meals and a range of dishes; as well as for private entertainment and other large events of 100 people plus, including providing menu choices prior to events.
The Chef is responsible for the kitchens, which are to be kept immaculately clean, organised and stocked with food, including homemade food, house chutneys, baking and jams. The Estate has a large amount of home grown produce and where possible the meals prepared should include this.
You will need: previous experience as a standalone Chef working to very high standards; to be efficient, consistent and proactive; to be organised, hardworking and conscientious; to have a flexible approach and able to work long hours during events; the ability to work alone and as part of a team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a professional attitude, polite and good levels of personal presentation; a DBS check; and own transport as we are located in a rural location.

With an annual salary starting from £26,000 depending on experience, plus accommodation
Full time at 40 hrs pw, to be worked flexibly over a 7-day period (split shifts to cover breakfast, lunch and dinner service)
