Multi Skilled Engineer

My client are seeking an multi skilled engineer to support an established car accessory company based in Newquay.

What we offer:

• £35k-£42k per annum depending on experience
• Monday to Friday (NO WEEKENDS)
• Twilight shifts - 16:00-00:15
• Immediate starts available.
• Permanent role 
• Accrue Holiday pay.
• Excellent scope and development within the group.

 The role:

• Monday to Friday - May include some weekends.
• Ensure all engineering and electrical work is carried out to the current regulations and safety standards.
• Provide preventative & reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance to minimise equipment downtime and log activity on relevant systems.
• Provide root cause analysis and elimination of the cause.
• Work with company CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
• Maintain mechanical maintenance PM’s & schedule.
• Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure activities comply with relevant standards and legislation.
• Support Capital projects and installation work

Requirements

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with a hands-on style

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an electrical / mechanical engineering role - mandatory
• Formal engineering qualifications required (minimum City & Guilds or equivalent) - mandatory.
• BS 7671 18th Edition Electrical Regulations - mandatory
• Experience in the FMCG/Manufacturing industry - desirable
• Experience of PLC programming desirable.
• Experience of packaging ‘robotics’ desirable (ABB/FANUC).
