Manufacturer is looking to recruit a Lead Systems Developer to be responsible for internal and external web and system orientated development.

Main Purpose of Job:
To provide development and infrastructure support for internal and external customers in support of this clients commercial activities

Main Duties
Improving knowledge of workflow and systems currently in place through end user interaction
Making recommendations for improvements based upon a sound knowledge of company&39;s production processes and flow
Interacting with all facets of the business from End user to Director level
Liaising with Customer and Customer interfaces i.e. Third party distributers
Keeping up to date with modern advances in application / interfaces and technology as appropriate
Being able to develop existing applications
Development of applications and systems through quality interaction within the development team members
Provide technical business support to all areas
Conformance to established code repository requirements
Work to develop and established other department members capabilities
Collating, monitoring and reporting quarterly on Project Development progress, Future developmental direction and resourcing requirements

Additional Duties: Work on additional projects/tasks, not specified above to aid the role of the IT Manager / IT Team and other areas of the business when required.
Educational Requirements of the position
It is a requirement of the Role Holder to be proficient in the following roles.

Key Skills: - A background in Computer Science or Computer engineering with a extensive, proven commercial experience in the following;
SQL – MySQL / PostgreSQL / MS SQL
IIS and related HTTP (S)
Visual Basic
A demonstrable understanding of SOAP and its implementation within a business environment.

Other Skills:
API integration
Print Orientated Protocols including JDF and JMF
