Leading IT Solutions provider is looking to recruit a Business Analyst for an initial 8 week contract to be accountable for the ‘Business Analysis’ function within the organisation, coaching and developing the team as needed.

Working closely with the product team, helping them analyse the needs of their clients and translating those needs into user stories and requirements for the development team to realise.

Identifying edge-cases, error conditions, dependencies and impacts to other areas of the business by developing a deep understanding of the current product functionality.

Anticipate positive and negative impacts of change to other areas of the organisation.
This may require negotiation with both the customer base and organisation presenting the requirements in order to achieve an effective solution.

To work within the organisation helping to manage change and plan products for the future in line with company goals.

At the outset of all projects work with key project stakeholders to formulate and communicate the business vision for the project, map initial requirements and define scope of projects.

Aid in breaking down technical and architectural complexities to enable project stakeholders to easily understand any issues that may arise during project development.

Work with the Systems Architect and Project Managers to ensure that development teams are effectively communicating.

Represent all project stakeholders throughout the process if direct access to the project stakeholders is not available.

Working with the business users and the product specialist to accurately capture all stakeholder requests and translate them into system specifications which typically include functional, non-functional, user interface, reports and external interface specifications.

Provides guidance to all stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve project and program objectives.

Works closely with software developers to ensure that the final product is in accordance with the business specification.

Works with the testers to ensure that all software components are tested adequately and participates in Quality Assurance activities as the IT workload requires.

Work with project stakeholders to validate the requirements and analysis models via techniques such as reviews, walkthroughs to enable user acceptance testing to be formed.

Knowledge and Skills
Proven track record of successful agile project on-time implementation in a software environment.
Have full experience of working with behaviour driven development.
Experience of aiding managing resources over geographical areas.
Excellent client facing skills.
Good negotiating skills.
Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in the depths of system testing, and at each stage in between
The ability to foster motivation within the teams to meet tight deadlines
The ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions
The ability to coach and develop less experienced business analysts
The ability to proactively aid in managing projects to delivery
Seeking a team player with excellent customer care and interpersonal skills who is articulate, self-motivated and possesses the ability to prioritise and deal with escalated queries.

Educational Requirements

Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice or IIBA/IREB qualifications
