Our client who are established manufacturers are currently recruiting an experienced HR Officer for a nine-month maternity contract.
Supporting the Global HR Manager who is based out of county your role will include.
• Acting as initial point of contact for employee queries and advice on HR issues, including regular visits to both sites and walkabouts; escalating to HR Manager.
• Managing HR & Payroll system, including starters/leavers, updated information, T&A, monthly payroll submission for Plant (75 employees) and DC (24 employees) + weekly payroll for temps (c 50 across two sites)
• Provide HR generalist support: staffing/recruitment, including agency management and onboarding; disciplinary/grievance; organisational development, including culture; IT requests; leaver process etc.
• Provide guidance/training/direction on company policies and practices, leading where necessary – E.g. disciplinary/grievance investigations and hearings

• Very organised - able to handle multiple/high priority tasks simultaneously
• Highly motivated and enjoys working to tight deadlines
• Ability to stay focused on initiatives by effectively managing priorities
• Positive and determined attitude
• Good communicator – with internal and external parties at all business levels
• Good computer skills utilising Microsoft Office
• Flexible and willing to meet the needs of the business
• Strong administrational skills
Previous experience in a similar role is essential
CIPD/equivalent is desirable
