Berry Recruitment is currently seeing a Head Pastry Chef to join the Award Winning Hotel Restaurant in St Mawes. As a Head Pastry Chef you will be responsible for ensuring all of the desserts are created and plated perfectly with attention to detail, as well as assisting the kitchen team in ensuring a smooth and efficient service. Creating amazing Bread, Pastry, Deserts, Chocolate’s, Petite Fours, Ice Cream, Sorbets and other products as your imagination creates.
You have to be a flair and passion for pastry, and aspire to achieve the highest of standards, be calm and focused in a high pressure, busy environment. You have to be a chef who is keen to expand their knowledge and skill set. Ensuring that the restaurant is always fully stocked with fresh produce, to excite and encourage customer spend. Constantly seeking new ingredients and techniques to improve customer dining experience
You must have worked in a similar restaurant or hotel environment previously, and have at least 2 years’ experience within a kitchen environment as demi pastry/chef de partie.
