Wise Employment are recruiting for a Senior Food Technologist for a UK leading company based in Plymouth.
You will be working with internal teams and external customers in an innovative method in order to develop new products. The aim of the role is to ensure that the best and most varied product range is available to customers.
You will carry out kitchen samples for a variety of purposes and submit product samples to a consumer panel. You will attend customer brand panels to gain direct product feedback and any development points that may be necessary.
You will be required to work with suppliers to understand latest techniques, products and flavourings and therefore some travel will be expected both locally and within the UK.
You will collate information around New Product Development performance such as figures and reports and you will manage the test kitchen to ensure that it is stocked and maintained.
For all new products you will carry out analysis on processes and ensure systems are in place to maintain them. You will also complete safety risk analysis on quality and hygiene processes to ensure that safety requirements are met.
To succeed in the role, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a food related subject and have 5 year’s industry experience ideally.
You will desirably have experience of working with retailers or within a FMCG role and possess a knowledge of food development.
Previous experience in a New Product Development role is an essential requirement.
Experience working with the key retailers would be desirable as would experience working on ambient products
You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines and understand the importance of brand within growth and development of a new product.
