Main Responsibilities:
As Finance Assistant the role involves primarily maintaining the finance and accounting records of the company using Sage Business Cloud and be responsible for the efficient and effective filing of key company documents. This will change to MS Dynamics after a new system implementation has been completed.

Key activities:
- Assist in implementation of a new ERP system.
- Work closely with the Management Accountant and Financial Controller to ensure smooth operation of all financial matters
- Support the Management Accountant inputting into the accounts package purchase ledgers & Sales Ledger invoices
- Matching invoices to statements and purchase orders to invoices
- Input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy
- Assist in the production of financial statements and applications, preparation of spreadsheets, reports and correspondence as required
- Ensure swift payment of invoices
- Resolution of finance related queries
- The flexibility to undertake other ad hoc duties as the company develops
- Month end routines
- Creation and posting of journals

Person Specification:
- Knowledge of the Data Protection Act

Skills / Attributes:
- Good bookkeeping and record maintenance skills
- Creative, passionate and self-motivated individual
- Good organisational skills used in planning own work
- Good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Good keyboard skills
- Good communication and listening skills

- AAT or Part AAT Qualification (preferred)

- Experience in VAT and Payroll routines
- At least 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced finance department
