Engineering Buyer/Expediter in Blackwater, Truro

We urgently require someone to fill this new position, assisting with the placement of purchase orders and expediting them to ensure the on-time delivery of quality materials and components required to achieve our Production Schedule, at the most competitive price. This role will report directly to the Purchasing Manager.
Essential role & requirements for the successful applicant will be:
• Experienced in the use of ERP systems to assess demands, stock levels and act on purchase order suggestions
• Develop and grow supplier relationships
• Plan required delivery schedules, place purchase orders, and expedite to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience:
• Buyer/Expediter: 3 years (preferred)
