Domiciliary Care Provider

Our client, a domiciliary care provider is seeking a small team of Health Care Assistants to work on a temporary ongoing basis across Launceston, supporting their service users within their own homes across the community.

The Role:

• £12 to £15 pounds an hour - dependent on day and time
• 40p per mile allowance – from the minute you leave home until you return
• Usual Shift patterns: 8am – 3pm OR 3pm – 9pm
• Covering a 12-mile radius with a varied and rewarding workload
• Training opportunities provided
• Weekly pay
• Accrue holiday pay

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working as an HCA is preferred
• Medication administration training essential
• Safeguarding and Manual handling training essential – we can provide this free of charge
• Mental capacity act, infection control and first aid are preferred
• Driving License is essential

The Shift:

• Working within the community, with a range of service users who have a plethora of care needs
• A range of personal care requirements – Assistance with getting up and going to bed, assistance in washing, showering and bathing, prompting and assistance with medication
• Some palliative care
• Convalescent Care – short term care whilst recovering from hospitalisation or illness at home
• Support in in regaining confidence and independence
• Meal preparation, cleaning, and ironing support
• Companionship, support with shopping, taking to appointments
