Deputy Home Manager

Our client, a local care provider specialising in the residential support of individuals with Mental Health difficulties, have an exciting and long-term opportunity for Support Workers to join their team in Liskeard.

This role presents a unique and flexible way of working; to work within a CQC registered home with a difference.

The Role:

• Based in Liskeard, working within a residential care facility that can house 18 individuals
• £10.42 an hour with additional bonuses on a monthly basis
• Permanent role with long-term scope for progression
• 36-hour full time contracts and part time contracts available
• Training opportunities are available

The right candidate:

• Strong experience in a similar healthcare/support work role
• NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care advantageous
• Medication training is essential
• A UK driving licence is essential
• Some knowledge on the most up to date CQC regulations and Health & Safety legislation
• Excellent communication skills – with the ability to communicate with multi-disciplinary teams as well as residents
• Are hard working, committed, and adaptable

The Role:

• Supporting individuals with a variety of complex mental health and physical health needs in a person-centred way
• Liaising with both the management team and the Care Staff, as well as external agencies to ensure the safe and successful provision of support to all residents
• Assisting in service users accessing the community
• Ensuring the protection and safeguarding of all residents, by implementation of care plans and regular reviews
• Producing, maintaining, and distributing house paperwork & compliance to ensure relevant information is recorded accurately and is available
• Providing an exemplary standard of care to the residents, always setting an example to the other care staff
• Other duties commensurate with the level and nature of the post
