As a Department Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth , effective and efficient running of the shift, including all people management processes and achieving performance targets to work closely with the Production Manager, other Department Managers and all associated departments.
You will be responsible for:
,Ensuring the day to day effective, efficient and safe operation from Goods In through to end of product Despatch on the shift, so that optimum production results are achieved to the customer.
,Ensure all company health and safety regulations are met by following the correct SOPs throughout each department and leading all other employees in a positive and safe culture.
,Maximising all throughputs and efficiencies by ensuring product flow and coordinating of labour, raw materials and services.
,Ensure production requirements are met, by producing the correct volumes of product to customer specification.
,Leadership of the shift, including all departments associated.
Your ability to operate in a leadership role as well as part of a team and deal professionally with internal and external customers is a must. Full training both internal and external will be given to meet the standards as set out by both the site and our customers.
,Previous experience in Manufacturing, FMCG or food related industry
,Previous experience of managing people
,Ability to communicate at all levels
,Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
,Train the Trainer professional certificate (or working towards)
,CIEH level 4 Food Safety ( or willing to work towards)
