Location: Porthpean, St. Austell
Salary: £9.30 per hour

We currently have some opportunities for enthusiastic, kind and dedicated people to join our team as support workers.

This is home to 6/7 individuals living in their own flats with access to a support hub.
You will work a combination of delivering 1:1 support and be part of the core background support within their shared hub.

In general, we are looking for people that will bring great energy, creativity and innovative ideas to supporting individuals. Somebody who is keen to promote varying communication, sensory needs and weekly planning.
You will need to be comfortable with supporting with personal care.

You will be resilient, have a confident personality and be able to work on different levels to suit varying personalities and needs.
You will also need to be patient and good humoured.
Preferably you will have experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and be able to work in a way that is truly person centred - aiming to make a real difference to the individual’s lives by promoting independence and enhancing their perception of quality of life. It is important that you understand that this looks different for each individual.

Experience preferred but not essential as a range of training is provided – we promote a values-based recruitment drive.

Hours: We have contracted and casual opportunities available:
Below is an idea of our vacancy – we will consider full or part time for the right candidate:

Week 1
Mon: 3pm-10pm
Tues: 3pm-10pm
Fri: 3pm-9pm
Sun: 2pm-9pm

Week 2
Mon: 3pm-10pm
Tue: 3pm-10pm
Wed: 3pm-10pm
Sat: 9am-9pm
Sun: 9am-4pm

Cover hours: We also have a vacancy for 30-35 hours pw for someone to cover holidays and additional shift across the service. You would know your rota 1 month in advance. Cover hours are available during the week and additional hours during out of term time for those wanting overtime.

We would also be interested in hearing from people who would like the idea of joining the team on a casual basis (must have 6 months paid experience).
