We’re currently looking for a Support Worker to join our small team in Long Rock.

As a Support Worker, you will be tasked supporting a gentleman living in the Penzance area.
We are looking for enthusiastic people to offer truly outstanding support and make a real difference! Ideally you will be resilient, whilst having a strong personality, and you will be very patient and good humoured. Preferably you would understand the challenges of living with an acquired brain injury (although this is not essential as training and on-going support is provided). Most importantly you will be able to work in a way that is truly person-centred – aiming to make a difference by promoting the persons independence and enhancing his perception of quality of life… and understanding that this may be very different to your own…
A driving license and access to a vehicle is necessary for this vacancy.
This role is currently offered on a part-time basis, based on a two-week rolling rota. This will be working one long day (08.15 - 22.00 and a sleep-in shift) and 07.00 - 08.15 the following morning - on week one this shift is on a Friday and week two if falls on a Sunday.

- Enthusiasm, creativity and innovative ideas that will support this gentleman to have real life experiences
- Good communication skills
- The willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS
- An understanding of living with an Acquired Brain Injury would be advantageous
