Machine Setter in Newquay

Our client based in Newquay are looking to recruit a Machine Setter, your will have previous experience in setting or mechanical engineering and working in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
.
Be able to operate, set, and maintain all filling lines to the required standard of output and efficiency, also to undertake other duties/work patterns deemed necessary by the Holt Lloyd Management team
Be able to resolve basic mechanical problems, also replacing of worn parts in conjunction with information contained in the machine manufacturer's manuals
Effectively communicate with the Production Supervisor and Line Leader on a daily basis and make suggestions on issues relating to HSE, quality and productivity
Ensure adherence to standard work at all times and bring together suggestions for improvement.
Help establish and share best-in-class manufacturing processes.
Ensure that 5s activities are maintained at the appropriate standard for the production area.
Take responsibility for personal safety and that of the other team members working in the department and to practice a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness at and around their designated area of work.
To contribute to cost down targets by looking for opportunities to improve standard of work activities and line processes.
Assist in driving our clients continuous improvement culture including the reduction of waste production
Actively participate in the production issue escalation process so as to ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely fashion.
Take responsibility to ensure the line is in a safe working order and report any issues relating to quality or safety that cannot be rectified immediately, also to ensure that any relevant documentation is completed and maintained up-to-date.
